“ The use of AI-powered creativity tools is revolutionizing all systems and processes in the realm of creation. This statement, heard so often, becomes increasingly tangible each day in this machine learning revolution. Through the utilization of these technological tools for image generation, I have developed these maps or ‘cartographies of nothing’ depicting places that do not truly exist but reside within the artist’s or machine’s own mind. I have trained these software programs using ancient maritime maps, Mayan codices, and images from ancient books of India and China (I-Ching). I have generated and brought forth these imaginary images and cartographies.”
